    hello,
is it possible to set a maximal line length in notepad++?
the reason i need this is because the coding standard of a framework i want to use requires this. and because i'm lazy i dont want to look to the bottom of notepad++ to se the current line length.

of course i did a look into the preferencesbut i didn't find this option, so i ask!
maybe you should give helpful information instead of abuse forum users as lazy. and if you dont have the knowledge to give information just be quite and let somebody other answer to the topic.

You call yourself lazy and if someone else does the same you attack him!
How great a person you are!

      Try this:

Settings > Preferences > Edit Components (tab).  In the "Vertical Edge Setting" section, there should be a "Number of columns:" option.  Click on the number to change it.

Just take a look into the preferences, if you're not too lazy for that.

You can try the split lines command. Select all the text, resize the Notepad++ window to the maximum line length and use split lines.
      Its like wordwrap but permanent
