Hi, I have a similar problem
I wanted to add a syntax highlight for php functions
I added
for example <Keywords name="type1">abs file_exists</Keywords> to the langs.xml
and
<WordsStyle name="FUNC" styleID="128" fgColor="FF00FF" bgColor="FEFCF5" fontName="" fontStyle="1" fontSize="" keywordClass="type1" /> to the %APPDATA%/Notepad++/styles.xml
I see it in Settings > Style Configurator php FUNC but it doesn't work :( .

If your referring to the UserDefineLang.xml, a) there's no such file, b) I don't want to create a whole new style.
Just change the highlight for two words...shouldn't be that difficutt?!

Hi,
i wanted to add a syntax highlight for "true" and "false" (php).
I added
<Keywords name="instre2">true</Keywords>
<Keywords name="type1">false</Keywords>
to the langs.xml and removed "true" and "false" from the Keyword list named instre1.
I added
<WordsStyle name="TRUE" styleID="128" fgColor="00FF00" bgColor="FEFCF5" fontName="" fontStyle="1" fontSize="" keywordClass="instre2" />
<WordsStyle name="FALSE" styleID="129" fgColor="FF0000" bgColor="FEFCF5" fontName="" fontStyle="1" fontSize="" keywordClass="type1" />
to the stylers.xml
Of course all in the part for the php language
So where's my mistake? It doesn't work...I changed the name, styleID, etc. but hasn't got any effect.
greetings
Spoon
