Hi,
I am using notepad++ v4.0.2 with explorer plugin v1.2 beta 1 in Windows Vista, and when I try to browse network drives the program frequently freezes. I can browse the drives fine in Windows; it's not a connection problem to the file server. Any ideas? Is there a workaround for this?

It's a known issue and will be fixed asap. The problem: I didn't create a seperate thread for updating the drives and folders ;). I will anounce the new Beta version when it's done.
Best Regards
Jens

I have a Linux distro running in a VmPlayer on a WinXP host machine (Home edition - SP2 installed).
Samba is running under the Linux OS, so I mapped a Windows drive onto the Linux drive.
When VmPlayer is not running, then of course the mapped Windows drive is not available too.
If I then have files left open in Notepad++, the program is extremely slow in reacting (see a lot of time the "not responding" message in the Windows system overview).
Would be nice if after a few attempts to connect to that file, the editor would ask to keep the file or just kick it out. But not to hold up the system for tens of seconds.
