You should be using version 1.2 of the Explorer plugin (or later) with NPP 4.0.2 (or later). You can get the latest version of the plugin from the Notepad++ Plugins beta page, https://sourceforge.net/projects/npp-plugins -- see the download section. Copy the DLLs (Explorer.dll and FunctionList.dll) into your Notepad++\plugins subdirectory.
To duplicate that display on the left side you need to check the menuitems for both Explorer (Plugins > Explorer > Explorer) and Function List (Plugins > Function List > List...). This pops them up on the screen, where you can dock them on the left. You can also do the same for the Favorites list (Plugins > Explorer > Favorites), but it will initially appear on the left if you have already docked the file explorer. Click-drag the Favorites tab to the right to dock it there.
There are other cool plugins at that site as well. --Joel

Hi there,
I am wondering how I can get a file/foler tree docked at the left of notepadd++. I can see in this screen dump: http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/commun/screenshots/scrsh_dockingFeature.png that it is possible, I can't seem to locate it.
Thanks in advance!
