In the old versions of Notepad++, apart from "Trim Trailing Space" option in the "Edit" menu of Notepad++, there was also ANOTHER option in the "Macro" menu of Notepad++ called

    "Trim Trailing Save"

    and

    it had the shortcut key

    "Alt-Shift-S"

    assigned to it by default.

Not only did this second option trimmed trailing spaces and tabs, but also saved the current buffer.

Does anyone has any idea where has that option gone? Or what is its equivalent now?

The option still appears at the bottom of my Macro menu.  I'm using v. 4.6.

Did you delete the macro?  That might be why it's not in your menu.

      Regards.
