If there is a space in between the number 2 and the preceding character, the syntax highlight does not break. It also does not break if the number 2 is typed in front of another character, unless the number 2 is also located directly after a character. I think this problem may have started occuring when I updated to version 6.2.

I'm also noticing that I'm having a syntax issue with one of my comment symbols. My statistical software program uses the symbol * to comment lines of code. Previously, Notepad++ only displayed syntax comment highlighting if there was a space after *. However, now the comment highlighting is displayed regardless of whether there is a space after *. From the version history, this appears to have be caused by one of the changes made in version 6.2. Is there a way for me to reverse this again, so comment highlighting only appears if there is a space after *? The * symbol also represents multiplication in my statistical software program, which I don't include spaces after in my code.

I've figured out what was causing my first issue. I accidentally had the number 2 listed as a delimeter. However, I'm still trying to figure out how to re-incorporate a white space into my comment highlighting definition.

Anyway, this was not a feature of old UDL, it was a limitation, and this limitation was solved with new UDL2.
The only thing you can do right now, is to downgrade to last version before 6.2., but in the future all delimiters will have extra option "must be followed by white space".

I'm also noticing that I'm having a syntax issue with one of my comment symbols. My statistical software program uses the symbol * to comment lines of code. Previously, Notepad++ only displayed syntax comment highlighting if there was a space after *. However, now the comment highlighting is displayed regardless of whether there is a space after *. From the version history, this appears to have be caused by one of the changes made in version 6.2. Is there a way for me to reverse this again, so comment highlighting only appears if there is a space after *? The * symbol also represents multiplication in my statistical software program, which I don't include spaces after in my code.
I've figured out what was causing my first issue. I accidentally had the number 2 listed as a delimeter. However, I'm still trying to figure out how to re-incorporate a white space into my comment highlighting definition.

Anyway, this was not a feature of old UDL, it was a limitation, and this limitation was solved with new UDL2.
The only thing you can do right now, is to downgrade to last version before 6.2., but in the future all delimiters will have extra option "must be followed by white space".
