      I would look at running an Autohot key script.  That is the easiest for me.  It's not Notepad++ but it works wonderfully and can be limited to work only while your in notepad++.

      There used to be a plugin with notepad++ that provided this functionality but I couldn't find it, and haven't seen it for a while. If I remember it caused notepad++ to crash.
