    Hi

I used to be able to copy Japanese characters from a web page (or type them in using IME) and search a file in Notepad++ using the 'Find' feature.

As of the last few versions I've downloaded, the text I copy (or type) gets turned into '???????'. Which means, I can only search for English text, nothing else. Which, for me, is really important.

If it didn't use to work, I would think it didn't support other character sets. But something must have changed for this to stop working?

Is there anything I can do/configure to get it working again?

in version 4.7.5 this is still a problem. I've tested some more and notice that it allows me to copy Japanese characters into the search text field, but as soon as I press 'Find' the characters turn from あかい to ???
ie All non-english characters get converted into '???' which is then never found!
So I can only search English text files.

I also have similar problem where I am trying to search and replace Traditional and Simplified Chinese characters. This needs to be fixed asap I would say as the feature is very basic and used widely.
