Is there a way to open a file in the same directory than the file opened in the active thumbnail.
In other words I would like to acces, using the Open commend, a file selection window using the same directory than the one of the file in the active thumbnail..

I don't understand what you want. I don't know what you mean when you say "active thumbnail".
The File > Open... dialog allows you to select files from the same directory, or change to a different directory.
