Can you try renaming the plugin folder, so that N++ doesn't load any lugin? This way one can see whether a plugin is misbehaving or N++ has a real problem.

I've been occasionally getting this error lately with 5.9:
DockingManager::init : SetWindowsHookEx() function return null
And then NPP won't open. Never used to see this. Any idea what could be causing it?
