I have got 2 problems under windows vista: first at startup n++ cannot load a config.xml file and this file exists but is empty after instalation of n++. And then it causes problem while exiting it it hangs and vista should kill him itself
With regards and waiting for some ideas how to repeair it.
i use newest version 4.3.

First:
replace the owner on:
C:\windows\notepad.exe and C:\windows\system32\notepad.exe
(Set owner to your user or to administrator just make sure you can write to it)
Then:
Replace permissions on both files (make it so that you have "full permissions")

Exactly. Vista is crap and you should leave it in peace and let it kill itself ASAP ;-)
