I have been watching Notepad++ for a while now and even carry a copy on my USB stick using PortableApps launcher. Two things always stopped me switching to it as my main editor both of which are found in PSPad. The first was FTP which you have added now and is better than PSPad's from the quick go I have had. The only thing it needs now is better code completion. I type ech (in PHP) then press Ctrl + Space it just puts echo. In PSPad Ctrl + J would put echo() whilst Ctrl_Space would actually put echo(string arg1, [string argn...]). The code completion with parameters has come in useful many times in the past and I would love to see it implemented into Notepad++.

I pop back to take a look and see I have had two intelligent people respond and one attention seeking child still ranting and raving and still living in a world of self delusion and anonymity. As to the child being the better person please show us where you have done something other than try to insult people or talk rubbish? Have you ever actually posted anything helpful in these forums because I, for one, highly doubt it.
You, like all forum trolls, hide behind anonymity, posting rubbish in forums to try and release the anger you have in your real life.

Yes that's both a given and implied. I'd like to think that Don HO is intelligent enough to understand what I meant where as you are just an idiot who hides behind anonymity.

Actually a quick Google for Carbonize would give you my real name and what I do where as you don't even have the courage to use a name other than Nobody/Anonymous. But then I suppose that is appropriate as you are a total nobody.
I refuse to engage in a battle of wits with you as you would just end up dragging me down to your level then beating me with experience. I'll wait for someone with intelligence to respond before I return to this thread.

I can't believe at the number of posts I have read with people requesting legitamate features, or ones they would like to see - only being responded to by some moronic people who seem to have nothing better to do.
I really don't understand why they even bother to respond, as it serves no benefits to anyone. The forum may contain its more professional people if usernames are compulsory and ability is given to administrators to ban these useless posters.
I too would like to see the original posters features added - I am sure it would make the application much more appealing.

Hey, are you spamming the forum by adding the same message more than once?
> I too would like to see the original posters features added...
This is a quite more friendly request than someone arguing than N++ really (only) needs a certain feature or saying that lots of people or the whole world need, simply because THEY would like it. If people are saying "they can't live without that feature", I think it is legitimate to call them stupid. How did they live before they discovered N++?
So I think the original response to the first message wasn't all that bad. I do not see much of bad language in it. I am more ashamed of the original requester's response to that and further messages.
I don't think restricting access to the forum will be of much help. I personally don't feel like having to register just for asking a simple question or trying to be of help to anyone else. Next to that, having a log in account or an alias, _may_ only help in recognizing people but who keeps them from creating just another account?
And then there are people who think they are really better than anyone else just because they do have the COURAGE to create an account. I don't make that distinction. I think I really am the better person then, but try to convince me if you think otherwise.

The code completion is a generic feature for all languages (theorically).
So adding the parentheses automaticlly may not expected for other languages.
However, you can modify *.api (in your case php.api) located in "notepad++\plugins\api\"to get what you want.

You mean, the only thing YOU need...

Yes, that's correct. And you are an idiot who hides behinds the alias carbonize.

WOW, you are COOL man!!!

So I suppose you won't read me saying now that this is the first time you show something which might be mistaken for intelligence yourself.
You'll only make me glad by not returning and saving me time to respond to your stupid messages. Yeehah 4 U!
