    Hello all,

I really like the addition of the "theme" in the latest version of Notepad++.  I now use the "Plastic Code Wrap" theme which has a dark background with light text.

This creates a bit of a problem for printing.
       - If I print WYSIWYG I use tons of ink and have a large black page.
       - If I print Invert I get a light blue background on the print because the Plastic Code Wrap background is not quite black (I know I could change this).
       - If I print Black on White I lose syntax highlighting.
       - If I print No Background I have light text on a light background.

As you can see, none of these are ideal.  In the best case scenario I would love to be able to specify a different theme for viewing and printing.  Alternatively, being able to select Invert AND No Background at the same time would be alright as well.

Best solution (imo), be able to specify a viewing Theme and a seperate printing Theme.

    Thanks,
    Sean

Thanks for replying.  I'll check out IdeaTorrent.  I hadn't heard of it before.

Alrighty, I found the IdeaTorrent thing.  Hopefully others will think this is a good idea too.

If anyone reading this thinks that this would be a good addition to notepad++ please head over to

      https://sourceforge.net/apps/ideatorrent/notepad-plus/ideatorrent/idea/28/

and vote it up to get attention to it.

I believe (although I havnt looked at the source myself) that this should be a fairly easy feature to implement.

      Thanks,
      Sean

Does no one have anything to say on this topic?  I think it would be a fairly simple feature that would add a significant benefit to anyone who likes to run a theme with a dark background.

Perhaps not that many people print stuff...

Posting your idea on IdeaTorrent stands more chance of attracting the eye of a developer.
