II originally posted this to a thread on spell checking. But, I was in error. I thought it might get lost in the shuffle.

I would like to implement it because of one simple reason:
Notepad is in the main part a text editor ;). It should have a spell checker.

If it's a text editor, why isn't there a default extension of .txt for saving files? Or, better yet why not let people choose there own default extension for saving files. I'm real tired of typing .txt to save a file.
