When you try to open XML files, Notepad 5.0.2 is crashing. I just downloaded and installed the most recent version and it keeps crashing. I have the default MSI installer and no custom stuff.

Dont know what is going on, can anyone help?

I am running Vista Ultimate SP 1

  How do you update your notepad++? From which version?
  
  Remove all the plugins (by changing the name of "plugins" folder) may help.

  I all ways install the zip version of npp++. So far, I have had no problems.
  Today I did the same with 5.0.2. My system did not crash with the three XML
  files that I have been working with for quite some time.
  
  BTW: I am running XP Home SP 2.
