Default language & moving custom lang to main

Does anyone know how to do either of the following:

1) Move a customized langage to main part of lang list so it shows up in various options menus (besides language menu).

2) Automatically set language to a (pre-defined custom lang) at startup?

I am in the same boat.  Everything I open that I have not opened before in Notepad++ and saved in Notepad++ opens as Pascal.  I have a lot of files I need to go throgh to pull threads on and I find it annoying that every file I open I have to go tell Notepad++ this is not Pascal.

I dont see a way to go in and remove all languages I donot want or a way to just tell Notepad++ that unless saved in another language by Notepad++, open all files as xxx language.

Thanks in advance.  Love the tool over most other tools I have used previously aside from this one little thing.

Ok, got annoyed and did a little poking around.  This is probably not the right way of doing this, so if someone else has a more official solution, please let me know....

What I did.

I am mostly working with php.  Every php file i opened was opening as pascal.  Not a big thing at first, but when I am trying to follow a thread through a dozen or so files of code I am not familiar with, it gets annoying clicking on language and select php every time I open another file.  I went into the notepad++ direcory (windows) and poked around the langs.xml file.  In good true form, this is a simple file that defines all the languages in Notepad++.  I took some time and after copying the langs.xml file to langs.xml.old to cover my butt, I just cut all the languages I know I would not use (i.e. pascal).  I got the list down to 5 including Normal.  Now I launched a php file that would normaly load as pascal.  Not pascal anymore, but now normal.  So for good measure (don't know what difference it really makes), I moved normal down in the list of languages in the langs.xml file and php to the top of the list.  Presto, all my php files are now opening as php.  Dont know how anything else will open, but all I am dealing with currently is php.  I can always copy the langs.xml.old file back over langs.xml and revert to default.

Hope this helps.  I can only assume the custom languages would be saved in this file as well, but if that is what you are dealing with, you might have to poke around to find out for sure.
