    Microsoft Windows XP Home SP2, Chinese (Traditional chars)
    Notepad++ 4.1.2, Chinese (Traditional chars)

    1. Log-in to "Remote Desktop Connection" (Accessories -> Communication
    -> Remote Desktop Connection). Colour settings: default.
    Operating system: Windows 2000 server. (You may also try logging in
    to a Windows XP server and setting to "traditional colouring scheme",
    but I have not tried this.)

    2. Open a C file. The right-hand side pane lists functions.
    The background colour of this pane (portion without text) is white.

    3. Minimise the "Remote Desktop Connection" window (note: not the
    Notepad++ window inside the remote desktop connection). Now you
    are back to the client PC's desktop.

    4. Now restore the "Remote Desktop Connection" window. Now
    you are back to the remote desktop window.

    5. Now background colour in the right pane (portion without text)
    is grey instead of white. The text part is still black on white.

    6. If you minimise and restore Notepad++, this problem does not happen.

    Thanks.

      I think this is a redraw issue, sometimes the dockable dialogs arent redrawn properly. Resizing notepad++ often helps.
