Explorer Plugin showing up as Spyware?

After installing v4.0/4.01, i noticed that Spware Doctor was picking up the explorer.dll as spyware!? i dont think it meant it was actually dangerous though, but it said common something unrelated (i can't remember exactly). It sounded like it was a file commonly used in spyware, but didn't seem to be part of any spyware (so basically, suspicious). I have a free version of spyware doctor that they no longer offer updates for, so this problem may not usually occur. The highest version i can get is 3.2, when it says that promotional users can no longer update or something.

Could someone tell me if this happens to them, or, if there is some way to fix this.

    Any help appreciated, thanks.

      Hi Buddy,

Explorer is name which spyware's use commonly to hide themselves . Its common for Anti spywares to chk for common names that is being miss used. u can just rename anyother dll to explorer.dll & may be ur Spyware detect that also. i believ u can rename explorer.dll to something else like NpExplr.dll and that shld solve it.

      Regards
      Hebbar

Yeah, that seems to have fixed it, I just renamed it to NPPExplorer.dll and now it doesn't get deleted every time someone scans the computer! Yay! Maby they should have it named something like this by default?

      Thanks!
