sorry, I couldn't find this in any of the FAQs. What's the max file size for Notepad++Portable?
I'm stuck in an office where I'm not allowed to install software to my machine and IT jealously guards its prerogatives. I can't install Crimson Editor or, it would seem, Notepad++, but I can install the portable version.
unfortunately, it seems to choke on the ASCII file I need to open (~473M).
Other options?

I am having the same issue with large file opening. Not necessary to edit the file, but to use find/replace and etc. that the notepad++ offers. As for me, it will choke when I open the text file larger than 150 MB (maybe more). Hope that this could be resolved.

This seems quite a big file you have there. Why in the beautiful world would you want to open or edit that? If you don't have to edit it, you could use a simple content lister program (viewer).

Try searching "large file" on the forum.
