I am just and end user. I just like to know is it a possibility to include a auto save function every 5 minute or so. I was thinking to use this on a production floor replacing the regular Microsoft notepad. Which I know that the production people are a bit lazy in saving files after key in. This little function will help me a lot. Thanks.

If i understood it right you want that the plugin is in you standard notepad setup/installation.
if you look at the download section you find the standalone "zip" version.
the easyest way to add this plugin to the zip file to extract it, copy this plugin to the extracted plugin dir, re-compress the complete directory.
then you can distribute it to your pc's by extracting it and creating the link.
on the other hand you have the option that notepad++ replaces the standard windows notepad.
if you want this you have to follow the unstructions from below: http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/download.php

Just download the file, unzip and copy the .dll file under the npp/plugin directory. Then run NPP and in the menu under plugin you'll see the Autosave where you can set some option like the autosave interval.

Are you the creator of this plugin?
if you are i have a suggestion:
add the option to auto safe the file to a configured directory.
with this option you only replace the original file when you press save.
this can prevent problems when you are create a script starting from a existing script.
For the rest i find it a wonderful plugin and wonder why you don't add it the the npp-plugins?

Is there any way I can merge to the original notepad or make it standalone program?
