    Hi guys,

Does it possible in NP? Seems not.
May be through some plugin? I checked "Light Explorer", it does not have such feature.
It would by great to have such incremental search, like in Eclipse: I'm typing, and dropdown displays matching filenames. Instead of manual navigating by file tree.

I'm not looking for "search IN files" feature - it works great.
Also it is not an option to install external program like Agent Ransack.

    Thanks.

Never mind. I checked and found out it doesn't support incremental search.

The only thing SearchInFiles has which N++ doesn't is an extra filter to exclude some file extensions. If that were added to Notepad++, the plugin would be no longer necessary, and its conversion no longer an obstacle to ditching ANSI sooner or later.

FileSwitcher plugin will do this for open files.  But are you looking to do this to open the file?

It'd be a nice addition to file switcher if so.

      Cheers,
      Dave

Yep, it would be great. If project has a lot of files, it takes a lot of time to find file in tree.

I wonder if the SearchInFiles plugin doesn't do it already.

I have unicode version of NP, SearchInFiles plugin is not compatible with it. But seems NP has built-in search in files functionality. I can find needed file through search, searching \n and filtering by MyFile*, but this is not what exactly needed.
