Hi all,
There have been several requests both in the forum and in tracker for a text diff capability. It is quite rightly pointed out that other stand-alone diff programs, like WinMerge, can be used. It appears that because there is a work-around this very nice built in function may never be implemented.
I'm willing to commit a small donation to anyone that will implement a decent built in diff in Notepad++. Something like WinMerge would be nice but it wouldn't have to be nearly as full featured.
I would like to get other people to also commit to donating. Is there a standard way to do that here? Could we just have people respond to this post with their commitments?
I'm pretty new to SourceForge so if this isn't the right way to go about this please let me know.
Thanks,
Bob Helling

The compare plugin *was* what I was looking for. At that time it hadn't been released yet. There had been a few discussions about creating a diff/compare plug-in but it didn't sound like it was going anywhere.
I've been using the compare plug-in since it came out and I'm very happy with it.

Hi,
Ive made one that takes the first 2 tabs and diff them in WinMerge. I just can seem to figure out how to upload it to NP++ page.

Is the compare plugin what you are looking for?
