Is there any way to customise the Favorites sidebar? I would love to add extra sub-folders, to categorise all my favourites. I've search but haven't found anything, and editing the .DAT didn't work.

I'm not sure this is exactly what your looking for, however, there is a 'New Group' option on the context menu for the favorites (Right click in the favorites window). This will add something that acts like a folder (allows hierarchical structure of your favorites).
