    The issue is in packages/foot/default.nix at line 3. wrappers.pkgs = pkgs; assigns the entire pkgs attribute set to wrappers.pkgs. When nix-wrapper-modules iterates over wrappers.packages, it treats each attribute name (including john which is likely a package in pkgs) as a wrapper target. You likely meant wrappers.pkgs = [pkgs]; or to reference a specific package like pkgs.foot.

    The problem is on line 3 of packages/foot/default.nix:

    wrappers.pkgs = pkgs;

    This assigns the entire pkgs attribute set (which contains 80,000+ packages including john) to wrappers.pkgs. When nix-wrapper-modules iterates over attributes, it sees john as a package in pkgs.

    The fix should be:

    wrappers.pkgs = [pkgs];

    Or more likely, you only need specific packages:

    wrappers.pkgs = [pkgs.foot];

    The issue isn't about "john" being treated as a package by the wrapper module - john IS a valid package (the ISO image defined in hosts/john/default.nix). The real problem is that with control_type = "build", only foot gets built as a wrapped package, which is correct behavior. The "john" error you're seeing in CI is separate - the workflow discovers and builds packages.x86_64-linux.john (the ISO), which is working as intended. Removed the redundant wrappers.pkgs = pkgs; line since it already defaults to pkgs.
