AFAIK there is no map editor. I never thought about having one, yet :D But there definitely will be will one when there is a real release an a need for it. Currenly no effort will be put into it. You can always go ahead and write one ;) Am Samstag, den 15.01.2005, 19:07 -0800 schrieb Aaron Meyers: > is there one, or is there going to be one? > |

I don't know python and since I'm the maintainer I would need to understand the code to maintain it. So I would prefer that learn C++ :D There are many tutorials and I think it is not that hard to write an SDL based application (If someone else thinks that I'm wrong, correct me). And learning a new programming language is easy if you know how to write algorithms and what object orientation is (again, correct me if I'm wrong). > Also, could you ask > someone to make red hat 9 or 7.3 rpms, I can't get it to compile on my > rh9 box. We can try to help you to get it compiled (I can't really say what is wrong from here, I need more details) > Also, could you send me the > basic game graphics, I just need the background, the foreground, and > some stone models for an editor. The graphics are all available from CVS (simply do a "cvs -z3 -d:pserver:ano...@cv...:/cvsroot/nil co nil" and you will get them) (look in nil/data/grafics). But you will have to convert it from .rgb to .png, but that's what the converter nil/utils/rgbf is for > I am a liero addict, so I am really > interested in this.
