yes there where many memory leaks within tclspice and spice.

I write also a charcterization interface with optimizer and observed the 
same.

I did fix some of the leaks, mostly within parser but one big also within 
bsim3v3 model. But there are many left.

copy within string.c is not the problem but the caller of copy and sometimes 
the caller of the caller...

One hint, try to use the internal interface routines of spice. The parser and 
frontend are mostly the memory eating things.

Im'm still working on some known leakes. When finishing actual work, I will 
give this to paolo and maybe he merges it into ngspice.
