I see in the nfc.conf file a line for using the Linux
authentication. I have tried uncommenting the line, and
editing it so it would point to the local box, but I must
have screwed something up for I can not get NFC to use
Linux authentication. Can someone please inform me
how to configure this. I am using version 1.07 BETA.

If you could e-mail me the answer that would be great!!

How can I e-mail you if you are not leaving an e-mail address?
Why are you submitting a supprt request for something you
    know should already be working?
Why did you not search the forums before asking a question?
NFC does not support Linux authentication in the sense that
anybody with an account on the linux box can login to the
server. It performes 'linux-like' authentication, where
usernames and passwords are stored in a password file.
Passwords are encrypted in that file. You can not use the
linux passwd file to do this.
You'll find more info on the 'Administrating chat' thread in the
