There's no pref for default servers...

Right now, and since I've looked over newspeak, there
has been no option in prefs or anywhere else to specify
the servers that should be connected to on launch and
the prefs for those servers (user name, password,
actions to take on connect, channels to connect to).
This is a major feature that makes an irc client
usable, and right now I'm going to go back to colloquy
until this feature is added >:[. I like the idea of
newspeak (although there should be some documentation
on the system for specifying new server commands..),
but right now it doesn't do what it needs to.

I kinda think the submitter is pointing out that because Newspeak does
everything differently from pretty much all the other IRC clients out there, we
need better documentation, and the setup assistant needs to actually help the
user out somehow.
I replied to the submitter:
Actually, Newspeak handles this a little differently. Just open the
conversations you want to use. When you quit, Newspeak will ask you if you
want to open them again the next time you start Newspeak. We feel this
mechanism is less cumbersome than manually specifying a list of servers/
channels to connect to on startup.
Additionally, Newspeak remembers the conversations you've opened in the
Open Recent menu under the Conversation menu. You can reconnect to any
previous conversation in a couple clicks using this feature.
Admittedly, the documentation needs work, and we're working on that.
