#3 slow with yenc

with version 3.0.36 when i download a lot of yenc files,
it becomes very slow after a time (4Kb/s), normally i got
a 350Kb/s and it uses also all cpu recourses, when i
restart newsgrabber, it start again very fast but within
a minute it is again slow

I have experienced a similar problem in the past. In some
instances, closing newsgrabber and restarting it fixed the
problem. Other times I had to delete all DB files except
the .gdb one. It may have something to do with database
corruption.

with pictures and non yenc files i have not that problem
encountered

butt it is not with all files, there is sometimes a file who let
newsgrabber come slow, when i stop that file, the others are
starting again faster to download

I've had this as well, altough most of the time NG is
acceptably fast (altough I have a 3GHz, so I wouldn't even
notice ;) ). But when I did have it, in my case it was even
worse. The download speed was dropping below 0,5KBps. I
think NG was doing some kind of recursive processing which
indeed becomes slower as the download moves on...

Let us know if this still happens with 3.1.0 or 3.1.1.

yEnc is the simplest decode path so it can't be related to
yEnc. Most likely there's something else going on.
