#22 OAuth error - no chance to sync ?!

Installed nixnote on two Ubuntu 14.04 machines, tried Version 1.5, 1.6, 2.0; deleted .nevernote/ and fbn.cx to get over the OAuth error. But nothing worked. I tried to reinstall libssl - same error.

Nixnote itself works, but trying to sync the first time shows a extra empty window for a very short time "Please grant ..." and shows the error OAuth error retrieving temporary token.

Tried even to install the Windows-version to get the auth*.-File. But there I cannot login with my credentials from Evernote. And I am sure the credentials are right - dead sure ;-) - the Evernote webclient works fine.
Maybe the Premium account with Evernote makes any difference in Login?

Please help me to get it running.

Please try the latest patch for NixNote to see if it corrects your problem.

Go to SourceForge at https://sourceforge.net/projects/nevernote/files/Unstable%20Patches%20-%201.6/.

From there, download the latest NixNote 1.6 nixnote.jar from the "unstable patches" directory. Make a backup of the existing nixnote.jar in /usr/share/nixnote/ and place this new jar in that directory (be sure the proper permissions are set).

Once you do this, you should be able to press "Connect" in the application and it will provide you with a prompt to give NixNote access to your account.

Thanks Randy. Your patch for Nixnote 1.6 beta worked for me in solving "OAuth error retrieving temporary token".
Now I have both Nixnote 1.6 and Nixnote_2 beta 2, and I am comparing them to choose the best one.
P.S. Even Nixnote_2 beta 2 is better than the new Evernote beta web client.
