I found a rather nasty bug which could result in data being accidentally deleted from NeverNote. This is what must be done in order for it to happen. 1.) You have notes that have been synchronized with Evernote's servers (in other words, they reside in a synchronized notebook). 2.) You move all of those synchronized notes to an un-synchronized local notebook. 3.) You synchronize. This causes all of the notes to be moved to your trash in Evernote (since NeverNote can't really delete anything). 4.) You empty your trash online or using one of Evernote's clients. 5.) You synchronize NeverNote again. The problem is caused by Evernote sending a purge request for a specific note ID and NeverNote honoring that purge without checking that the note resides in a synchronized notebook. I know how to fix the problem and it will be available in the next release. I expect I'll have it ready sometime this week. As a workaround, please don't empty your trash online. I found out the hard way with the loss of two years worth of notes (about 1,000). Thank goodness for backups! |
