This seems to work ok, at first I thought there was a problem as the monitor
enters DPMS and doesn't do blanking first, but then I realised that this was
also happening to me on a normal PC, so maybe things have changed or I'm
doing something wrong :-? Anyway, your code works ok now :-)

I'm going to try to upload a new version of the 2.4.21 patch with this patch
applied today if time permits.
