I gathered as much, also monta vista seemed to have someone hacking at
the chip, but the wiki link at least didn't work and couldn't find any
specific info on the MV site.

Ok, I'll try to get the box up as soon I'm done making some coffee. I
assume that by 'IBM NSM' you mean the stuff that comes with the
nsminstall.exe and is loaded over tftp/nfs over to the box. As told
before, I just rescued the box from a library room where people store
all kinds of weird old junk :-). Not that this box is, but you should
see the other stuff ;-). First portable IBM thinkpad ;-).
