It works at 8, 15 and 16 bits, 24 bits says ioctl FBIOPUT_VSCREENINFO:
Invalid argument and the kernel outputs
s3triofb_op_set_var con=0 640x480-640x480-24bpp mode=39722 48 16 33 10 96 2 AT act=0
and 32 ends up with a weird scren (broken setup) and saying:
fbcon_setup: No support for fontwidth 8
fbcon_setup: type 0 (aux 0, depth 32) not supported

If you want more info on this failures I can provide the hole kernel dumps,
but I think we should center on getting the 16 bits working on X first.

Ok, I was just trying to see if I could port it meanwhile I was waiting for
your new patches. I didn't mean we need that working now, I just wanted you
to know that I have something, so that we don't waste time doing the same
things.

I had 1024x768-85 I have lowered it to 60 now but same thing happens.

Talking about versions, I have looked at the version of the PCBs we have
and we have two different PCBs each one has a differnet PN, btw, our PCBs
are numbers 0100134 and 0100146.

I have, and all the info you wanted is gathered with the kernel having this
activated.
