Not sure.

IBM only uses the slot for flash memory, and their software only
supports linear flash cards. Most flash cards sold today are ATA
flash, i.e. they look to the PCMCIA interface like an IDE disk.

I will have to check the driver for the bridge chip used and see
if the adapter was wired for full PCMCIA and cardbus support.
