[nwst-dev] Need to patch kernel

I have been able to get the network station kernel to work on a when using 
an NS1000 through a serial connection, and through telnet.
However, I'd like to be able to apply the patch to get local keyboard and 
monitor working, with a final goal of getting rdesktop (windows terminal 
services client) working on it. However, I am not sure how to apply the 
patch (20021128). I am aware that i need to cross-compile, but not sure how 
to do this, especially when the only kernel file i have found is 
kernel.1000, which is already compiled.

Can someone please help me.
