Hi all, after fighting with creating a cross compiler I finally made the kernel patches of Jochen to work and, to my surprise, I could even boot a gentoo installation over NFS (having a stage1 tarball as nfs share). However, I'm stuck with the ppc gentoo variant since i miss the mount binary. Maybe I get a response from the gentoo guys, but one thing which interests me even more is: Anybody fiddled around with NBD? nbd is a driver which emulates a block device over a network, therefore, the netstation could boot completely over the net and maybe running gentoo linux via the nbd stuff. Anybody knows something about this? cheers, Timo |
