NOTE: Speed Scan-Remote Port Scanner are hosted ONLY on Source Forge by the original developer. If you have found this download on another site, be carefull with the integrity of the downlod.

Update 10-7-2018:
Form modifications/ Code clean-up.

Update 9-26-2018:
For various reason I have removed the Remote Port Scanner from the main application (Speed Scan). The download will now include the STD Speed Scan App and the Remote Port Scanner App seperately. The Port Scanner has thread control and is fairly fast. Please let me know if you find any bugs- Thanks f3~

Update 9-1-2018:
Watcher timer bug fixed. Minutes timer should now work correctly.
Added TCP/UDP Scanner for local machine.

Update 8-31-2018: Minor update
Watcher log format changed. A tad cleaner now.

Update 8-30-2018:
Added a Watcher log file. Go to settings and check to use this feature or not. If checked, this will create a text file- log of all new MAC ID's found during Watcher scans with date and time stamp of each scan. The new MAC ID's will be appended to the text file meaning it will grow in size if left to run for extended times. This file will be automatically created and named "New MAC ID List" and saved in the same folder as your Speed Scan executable. If you do not need to use the log uncheck it under settings.

Instructions for application use below:

Speed Scan:
First time use: Go to settings and choose preferences. These settings will save when Speed Scan closes.
Choose font color: Blue or White.
Enter "save as" file names for txt/xls, or use the default settings. Create Watcher file: This will auto scan your network and collect the MAC ID's for any and all devices presently on your network. NOTE: It is best to make sure ALL known devices on your network are connected, this will be the APPROVED MAC ID watcher list. A Save dialog will appear, save this file with the default name "watcher". This needs to be in the same folder as the Speed Scan exe. Set the time interval to run Watcher. Seconds/Minutes and a number value. ie: Seconds @ 30. Watcher will run at the set interval and compare the MAC ID's from the original scan to what is currently found. If new items are seen on the network, a message Box will pop-up showing the MAC ID of any new items found on the current scan. While the Message Box is showing (10 seconds) you can hit Ctrl + C to capture this info to the clipboard and paste into a textile. If you do not need to use watcher in this manner, do not create a watcher file.
Use:
Enter your IP range and hit the "Scan" button. This will scan your range and show you IP-MS-MAC-Name- and current time.
Individual line items- Click on an item in the list to see MAC Vendor for the selected item. MAC Vendor file is included with the download, make sure it is in the same folder as SpeedScan.exe. Right Click on any item for details.
Comp Ping/Port Scanner: Click on the Comp Ping / Port Scan checkbox to use these items.
Ping: Click on an IP from the original Scan list and it will appear in the IP Address box. Run Ping to get a more comprehensive set of ping values. You can auto ping repeatedly by using Auto ping (Check checkbox).
Port Scan:
You will see the same IP in the Port Scan IP Address box- Scan the IPs Port range which you can set. The more ports you scan, the longer this takes. You can also manually enter an IP address in this box. Please use this tool with discretion and without malice.
There are several other visual sets of information on the form which can go without explanation.

Other info: Windows 10 has a feature built into the Virus Threat Management section, this can block Speed Scan from saving the files to protected folders. Some Anti Virus application pose this same problem. Remedy is to save txt/xls files to a location that is not subject to change monitoring. I use this feature in Windows 10 myself and just add Speed Scan as an excluded application.

If you find any bugs/errors, please post or send me an email.
