Howdy. I have written a plugin to use with our Netsaint and I am trying to use = NRPE to pass the information back to the Netsaint host from the remote = host. I have verified that the plugin outputs the correct information (if I run = check_nrpe from the commandline on the Netsaint host), but there must be = something wrong with my Netsaint configuration as the webpages show: Current Status UNKNOWN =20 Status Information Incorrect command line arguments supplied=20 # grep nrpe * customcommands.cfg:#command[check_nrpe]=3D/opt/netsaint-plugins-1.2.9-4/lib= exec/check_nrpe $HOSTADDRESS$ -c $ARG1$ customcommands.cfg:command[check_nrpe]=3D$USER1$/check_nrpe $HOSTADDRESS$ = -c $ARG1$ (neither of the above works) services.cfg:service[server5]=3DMNP SNMP Trap;0;24x7;3;5;1;unix-admin;2;24x= 7;1;1;0;;check_nrpe!check_mnp_snmp nrpe.cfg contains: command[check_mnp_snmp]=3D/pkgs/netsaint_statd_v2.10/checksnmp.pl (This is a particular kind of snmp which I need to use an external program = to read. I could not receive the data using check_snmp for some reason). = The plugin needs 60 seconds in order to collect the data required. I have also tried this version: customcommands.cfg:command[check_nrpe]=3D/opt/netsaint-plugins-1.2.9-4/libe= xec/check_nrpe $HOSTADDRESS$ -p 5666 -c $ARG1$ -wt 120 -ct 240 -to 360 Running from the commandline: $ /opt/netsaint-plugins-1.2.9-4/libexec/check_nrpe server5 -p 5666 -c = check_mnp_snmp -wt 120 -ct 240 -to 360 Critical: MNP Server not running! So, you can see, the plugin and command syntax are correct. The server name has been changed to protect the innocent ;) -------------------------- Jason Oakley +612 82821434 MSG Security Administrator AAPT -- Glebe -- Australia http://www.aapt.com.au |
