I have currently have linux 2.6.12 ported from 2.6.7
(doing a recompile to test)

To check it out:
cvs co netnice2612 Linux

Taka,
I would like to start work with coding for the kernel, or for the 
library.  Please let me know where I should start to tread.  What ever 
you deem would bring me more familiarity with the project.

so, please just finish the porting first, and debug the leaf VIF bug
i described. then, i will give you more detailed description of the
NPF (netnice packet filter) hack.
