I'm seeing the following: Device Aliases (IPs) without DNS Entries All my switches are listed here. However, I can ping them by name from a bash shell on the netdisco box (running on Fedora 24) I can also ping non-windows hosts that have DNS names in my internal domain. However here is what I get when I try to arpnip the hostname - netdisco -A linux.server.name IP not resolved Seems netdisco resolves that the switches: ./netdisco -d switch1 n e t d i s c o -------------------------------------------------- [switch1] Discover starting [192.168.0.240] Fetching Device Info [192.168.0.240] Fetching Interface Information Still they show up under Device View with "No DNS" - Device View: [No DNS] (192.168.0.240) Also, the switch IPs and IPs of the Windows nodes (plus netBIOS names) all show up under "connected devices". How can I get the DNS names and IPs for connected devices to appear in Device View for the switch they are connected to? These nodes include linux workstation hosts, IP cameras, the firewall, and access-points. Thanks, Dave |
