Hi all, I have lldpd installed on some Linux routers which allows netdisco to discover the router and arpnip it (working as expected). I am now installing lldpd on some hypervisors and the virtual machines with the intention of netdisco being able to discover what / where the VMs are. This is useful for answering the question "Where is VM x" but also some of our VMs are routers which can be arpnip'd. I have lldpd installed and integrated with snmpd correctly - I can snmpwalk the lldp OIDs and see lldp information however netdisco always reports "CDP not Enabled" when discovering the hypervisor. I suspect my problem is netdisco believing the device is a class which does not have lldp information so it isn't trying to query it; and there is probably some configuration options I can add (in snmpd?) to change this - can anyone suggest what might need to be configured for this to work? Cheers, -Jeff |
