Hi, After using Netatalk servers for a few years and having had generally great performance, but a few disastrous DID conflict errors, I've tried using a Windows 2000 server instead, but the throughput is incredibly variable and generally extremely poor (average 4.5 MB/s on a gigabit network). I'm going to try RedHat 7.2 on the same hardware (1.6GHz Pentium IV with an Adaptec 2400 ATA RAID card with 4x120Gb drives running RAID5). Someone suggested the site below for an RPM of 1.5.3.1, but I've noticed there are 2 options, cnid & last. Any opinions on which is the better scheme to go with, or at least the pros and cons? I'd be wanting to use all the same shares with Samba. Regards, Russell. > http://kraftwerk.adsl.dk/netatalk |
