At a guess its trying to talk DDP and you haven't built/installed the DDP module. The DDP stuff doesn't seem to have been ported to automake/autoconf/libtool build yet - I'm planning on attacking that since I need it to build with Sun CC (and the makefile there is is gcc specific). -- Alex Kiernan, Principal Engineer, Development, Thus PLC > -----Original Message----- > From: Wul...@ep... > [mailto:Wul...@ep...] > Sent: 16 October 2000 09:05 > To: Kiernan, Alex > Cc: mo...@or...; net...@li... > Subject: Antwort: RE: [Netatalk-devel] NEWS from the SOLARIS-2.7 > bug?-hunt > > > > > Hi Alex, > > I have added your changes and the compilation finished > without any further > errors. > > However, after installing the binaries and trying to start > the daemons I got: > > starting appletalk daemons: socket: Protocol not supported > atalkd: can't get interfaces, exiting. > atalkd nbprgstr papd afpd timelord. > > This is the same message I got when compiling a previous > netatalk version ( > 1.4b2+asun2.1.4).
