Thanks! ---- gosh yes... but a few things come to mind... 1 - comments in the default config(s) are presently quite good and would want to see that they are preserved. 2 - a utility such as samba's 'testparm' which allows you to output a configuration with all default (ie testparm -v), all uncommented directives (ie, normal testparm).
