How can I prevent > these files from being created or can I change the ":" to a "." to hide > them? Is this done by user_xattr on the filesystem? afaik Finder creates a ._ prefixed file for metadata that it can't store natively. I'm using netatalk 2.2, so the behaviour might be different back in 2.0.5, but I thought netatalk managed that and put the metadata in a .AppleDouble/ directory. In any case, look at the "usedots" and "invisibledots" options for the share to avoid the ":2e" business. My typical options in netatalk 2.2 are: options:usedots, invisibledots, upriv,tm Good luck, Matt. |
