Hello all, You'll have to forgive me as I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to linux and netatalk. I've got SLES (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server) v 9 running, and I downloaded and installed netatalk 2.0.3, following the install instructions: ./configure --enable-suse then make install then make Everything seemed to install perfectly. I created a few directories, edited my AppleVolumes.default file to add the volumes, and tested that I could connect to the volumes from my macs (OS 9.2.2, OS X 10.2.8, 10.3.9 and 10.4.2) That all went well, I could connect, I had read and write permissions. So what is my problem? Well, I thought I'd have a peek at what /var/ log/messages said when it stared up afpd and I noticed the following: uam: loading (/usr/local/etx/netatalk/uams/uams_dhx.so) uam: uam not found (status=-1) Now, I would quite like it to be using DHX encryption, and I'm wondering why it is not. It is quite correct, the item does not exist in the uams directory path it mentions. How can I get the dhx uam installed, what are the requirements for using dhx? When I setup the server I told it to use local passwords rather than LDAP or NIS, could this be the problem? Any help gratefully appreciated. Mark |
