Netactview can refresh the list of connections automatically at intervals ranging from 1/16 of a second to 4 seconds. The automatic refresh interval can be accessed in the Edit/Auto Refresh menu.

All the information shown is updated at a refresh. The only exceptions are the Sent and Received statistics that are updated at the refresh but at most once a second.

If you want a more stable list or less processor usage, chose a larger refresh interval. If you want to be able to spot almost all new connections or connection modifications as they happen, use a smaller refresh interval. For brief new connections also check to view closed connections. Even at the smaller refresh intervals some very brief connections may be missed by netactview.

If you want a static image of the connections list, automatic refresh can be disabled (from the toolbar button or the menu). Manual refresh is accessible through the toolbar button, the Edit/Refresh menu or the F5 or Ctrl+R shortcuts.
