Net-SNMP 5.3.1 'man snmpcmd' says: -M DIRLIST Specifies a colon separated list of directories to search for MIBs. This overrides (or augments) the environment variable MIBDIRS, the snmp.conf directive mibdirs, and the default directory hardcoded into the Net-SNMP library (/usr/share/snmp/mibs). If DIRLIST has a leading ’-’ or ’+’ character, then the given directories are added to the default list, ... It seems to me that the '+' and '-' never adds the directories to the default list, it always overrides it regardless any +/- character. Attached you can find simple patch (Net-SNMP 5.3.1) resolving the bug. It creates default list and then modifies it/overrides it according to the -M option. It should apply clearly to latest SVN. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Thomas Anders (tanders) Date: 2007-06-14 23:49 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=848638 Originator: NO Moving to patches. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jan Safranek (jsafranek) Date: 2007-06-14 13:17 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1784238 Originator: YES File Added: net-snmp-5.3.1-mib-option.patch ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=312694&aid=1737085&group_id=12694 |
