Patches item #736784, was opened at 2003-05-12 18:51 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=312694&aid=736784&group_id=12694 Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Ron Tabor (rtabor) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Proxy agent segmentation fault (NULL pointer dereferenced) Initial Comment: A proxy agent will get a segmentation fault when handling requests for a subagent after the subagent is restarted. This was found during testing in which the proxy agent is using authenticated/encrypted SNMPv3 to communicate with the subagent. This occurs because of a dereferenced NULL pointer in proxy.c:proxy_got_response(). The provided patch ensures that the pointer is evaluated properly. This patch was tested under the following environment: uname -a Linux linux-rontabor.togabi.com 2.4.18-3 #1 Thu Apr 18 07:32:41 EDT 2002 i686 unknown NET-SNMP version: 5.0.8 p.s. If the-powers-that-be find this patch worthy, perhaps they wouldn't mind taking a look at patch #695192, or even (though certainly less critical) #702711. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=312694&aid=736784&group_id=12694 |
